I, Machine 04:23
It’s all about how hard you work. "I can do. I can do... I will do it!" Day and night 'till the bones show up. "I can do. I can do... I will do it!" Someone said it was just about believing. "I can do. I can do... I will do it!" Not yet. But one day you get there! "I can do. I can do... I will do it!" It may be easier for machines and algorithms. The story is different if the gears don’t fit in. Someone said it was just about believing. "I can do. I can do... I will do it!" Not yet. But one day you get there! "I can do. I can do... I will do it!" But it's so easy if I keep the pace! See how I'm relieved! I don’t waste the gifts of what’s left of me. The weight of inequality lies in your abilities. (I, machine.) It’s all about how hard you work. "I can do. I can do... I will do it!" Day and night 'till the bones show up. "I can do. I can do... I will do it!" Someone said it was just about believing. "I can do. I can do... I will do it!" Not yet. But one day you get there! "I can do. I can do... I will do it!"

Some words never seem to be heard and therefore become wails, but not before they are shouted thirsty. But there’s still no worse scenario than words turning into silence like the famous "tears in the rain"! So some songs need to be sung again So some songs need to be sung again So some songs need to be sung again Now I know that nobody knows how I feel No one speaks better than I do about my own pain It seemed to be a different time and mankind's struggles should not be the same But we are in the worst scenario where words turn into silence where words turn into silences like the famous "tears in the rain"! So some songs need to be sung again So some songs need to be sung again So some songs need to be sung again If it's up to me, you'll hear this blues again So some songs need to be sung again and again If it's up to me, you'll hear this blues again It is so sad that I still need to sing this blues again!

I didn't think they were choosing. At first, they were confused. Now, there’s no excuse for so much abuse. I croon: “I can't go to the moon cause I don't even have shoes. I'm buried trying to move. In the meantime I read my books.” Did you see the breaking news? I still don't know how I could stood. I lost my voice saying "I knew". I spent my strength explaining the obvious. And I became a stranger. They became victorious. I croon: “I can't go to the moon cause I don't even have shoes. I'm buried trying to move. In the meantime I read my books.” Two years ago, my tears dried up, but tears were not enough to heal the old ills that have returned. Before, I wanted to be braver This country digs only graves and I fluff a pillow in my case. Before, I wanted to be braver This country digs only graves and I fluff a pillow in my cave. This deep feeling of helplessness makes me want just a safe place.

A place in the hinterland known by the name of a wild bird... a wild bird I saw children, men and women enduring against the odds They will resist! They will resist! They will resist! You can even steal their water, and even bring them coffin boxes But the blood they shed right here becomes their own legacy. "If you leave, go in peace" Surrounded by drones, guns, dirt and plants, they will have no help in this insane game. In school hall they take the stand as their forebears taught first hand. "If you leave, go in peace" I can blow your brain I wanna be that cabin man He can grow your mind Just open your mouth wide Your choice is to live or die In the cabin of the naked old guy É nesse nós que eu vou me encontrar Nessas voltas que a terra dá Somos todos um só lugar Não tire o eu que há em nós.

about

Spiral Guru New EP - Silenced voices

Biographical material about the recording process.
(ENGLISH)

We were really excited to write new music for a brand new project, and then the COVID-19
pandemic hit.
We would not only have new compositions ahead of us, but we would be facing a completely
new scenario, which devastated the world and which was extremely terrible in our country;
Brazil had one of the worst mortality rates in this pandemic. We needed to reinvent ourselves,
and it was music that helped us face this sad scenario made worse by a government that
spread misinformation and intensified hate speech, especially towards minorities and the
scientific class.
We wrote from a distance, each in his or her own home. Usually our creative work happens in
rehearsals: we experimented with different sounds together, we played the songs for a while
in rehearsals before we actually went into the studio, but that wasn't possible! Online meeting
tools were foreign to us and we had to learn to compose in a totally different way for the EP "Silenced Voices".
There were many audios recorded on cell phones, shared folders on Google Drive, and many
text messages for the songs to take shape!
We went separately to the studio to record the first versions and then to record the final lines.
Franco Torrezan helped us a lot in this process, as he was the only person we physically met
and who knew all the work in progress. We are very grateful for this partnership with Casarão
Music Studio! When the pandemic showed signs of improvement, we finally got together to
follow the mix.
For a while we even thought about re-recording some voices and instruments. We decided not
to! The songs, as they were, represented the time to which they belonged; they had the sound
of our resilience. For this reason, some people who follow our work may feel differences in
relation to “VOID”.
In that same period, completing the whirlwind of changes and adversities, José Ribeiro
(bassist) lost his parents and we saw the arrival of a new life, the first son of Samuel Pedrosa
(guitarist). Therefore, these songs are dedicated to the dear people who left us and in gratitude
for having new chances ahead.

Material biográfico sobre o processo de gravação.
(Brasileiro)

relação a “VOID”.

about

Spiral Guru Piracicaba, Brazil

A Brazilian band formed in 2013 playing anything that we feel like… Space Rock, Heavy Psych, Doom Metal. We actually don't mind much about labeling our songs, as we prefer to be free to try different sonorities.

Our lyrics depict our visions of a lot of things, mostly using science fiction as a backdrop
